Some useful info about Malaysia local culture :-

• To give or receive something from Malaysian, use right hand.
• When pointing, use thumb with the four fingers folded under.
• Muslims does not drink liquor or alcoholic beverages and only take halal foods.
• Shoes must always take off when visiting homes, mosque and temples, ladies must wear robes and scarves when visiting mosque (provided).
• When visiting homestay village, must respect local customs and traditional.
